LOWER STATIC ELONGATION: Static elongation measures how much a rope stretches with a 176 lb weight tied to one end. A good percentage is right around 7 percent. Higher static elongation generally indicates less efficiency because energy is wasted through rope stretch.
The rope was composed of a rope skin and an inner core, and both were made of nylon fiber.
When the inner core of a rope is made, the machine synchronously wraps it in a rope to form a finished rope.
Although the inner core is not visible, the quality of the entire rope can be judged by carefully observing the skin of the rope.
The thickness of the skin and the number of turns around the rope determine the wear resistance and durability of the rope.
